Gio thanked for everything.
He was grateful to his many friends, big and small, and to his benefactors who helped him and his family in many ways and
taught us to pray for them with heartfelt gratitude.
He was also grateful for the suffering and torture that invasive medical treatment involved, saying he always forgave like Jesus
taught him. To his mother, when she was broken and tired,
he remembered "life is beautiful" and insisted "this life was given to me by Jesus and it is beautiful. Never give up"
🙏
Gio followed the midday Mass sung by his soprano friend and he sang too. In one of those days he happily said:
"whoever prays and sings, prays twice".
No one had ever told him that this phrase had long been pronounced by a great saint of the past, St. Augustine.
🙏
He often hummed the prayer:
"Jesus I trust in you, Jesus I love you,
Jesus you are everything to me,
Jesus you are in me"
and laughing, he told his mother that Jesus was all his.
🙏
He often loved to sing the refrain of the
AVE MARIA of Lourdes learned during the pilgrimage.
